Joseph M. "Uncle Joe" Page (1845-1938)
Was mayor of Jerseyville five times and instrumental in obtaining Marquette
Park, the Illinois River "Page Bridge" at Hardin, and water, electric light
and telephone services for Jerseyville. He was editor of the Jersey County
Democrat Newspaper for fifty-eight years.
The Webster Cabin
Maggie Lena Thompson Webster, daughter and step-daughter of Francis Marion
and Maria Bensinger Thompson Webster, who married Allen Webster. The baby
is: Charles "Everett" Webster. Maggie was widowed in 1927 and later married
Charles "Charley" Barricks. Cabin is believed to have been in Indian Creek
Holler.
