John Myers, well-known resident of Rosedale vicinity died of pneumonia, 63 years. Funeral from Hartford church. Rev. T. H. Roddey. Burial in charge of Grafton Woodman Camp.
Leaves three sons; Clyde of Rosedale, Lee of Granite City; George of Florida and one daughter, Mrs. William Smith of Rosedale.
Born May 31, 1862 in Calhoun County and married February 14, 1883 to Ida May Birdnow. Five children: Benjamin Harrison, John Leland, William Clyde, George Edward. One daughter, Mrs. Nellie Jane Smith.
Home lover and much endeared to his children. His sons and daughter. Enjoyed visits to old homestead. He joined ME church at Hartford early in life. Member of MWA. Hard worker, good husband and father. Neighbor to all and would accommodate a friend.
