Arthur Mclean Presley, a retired fisherman of Grafton, died at three-thirty o'clock Fri. afternoon at his home. Though his health had been impaired his death was unexpected. Visitation hours were held at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home until eleven-thirty o'clock Monday morning when the body was moved to the Assembly of God church where services were held at one-thirty o'clock. Rev. William Sipes officiated and burial was in Meadow Branch cemetery. Committal rites were under the auspices of Whalen Hill Post, American Legion, No. 648, Grafton.
Mr. Presley was born in Calhoun County, 26 October 1912, a son of the late William Henry and Lula Frances Flory Presley. He was in military service during World War II.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Banfield Presley; three daughters, Sheila, Kay, and Carol, and two sons, Michael and Bradley, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Talbert and Mrs. Lula Lester of Grafton and Mrs. Linda Blasa of Jerseyville; and one brother, Hubert Presley of Grafton.
His parents, two sisters, Pearl and Amanda, and one brother, Marion, preceded him in death.
